Representing the interests of business with government
The Chamber advocates on behalf of over 550 businesses in the City
of West Hollywood. We have worked with nightclubs concerning the
State anti-smoking legislation, with restaurants regarding the county
health department letter-grade posting enforcement, and with the City
Planning Department regarding the City's Zoning Ordinance, as well as
partnering with Assemblyman Wally Knox on area code reform. When there
is a legislative issue affecting business, the Chamber works with
government and our members to collectively find a solution.
Networking, Referrals, Exposure
The Chamber believes that the best way to cultivate new business is to
meet fellow business representatives face to face. One of the most
effective ways of doing this is through networking. The Chamber hosts
regular networking mixers and luncheons, as well as a variety of special
events, to help build business-to-business relationships. We know your
time is valuable and offer a variety of other means to promote your
business. The Chamber makes it easy and affordable to advertise in its
newsletter or send your own mailing using our comprehensive West
Hollywood database.
Communication
The Chamber keeps businesses up-to-date with issues and events in the
City. Whether it's a pending decision by the West Hollywood City Council
or representative in Sacramento or news about City construction
projects, special events or business profiles, the Chamber knows what's
going on. Our bimonthly newsletter will keep you in the loop with
ongoing issues, and our Weekly Wrap Sheet will give you quick takes on
business issues and events. |
